Living with Heartware: A Pediatric Experience with Ventricular Assist Device

The HeartWare VAD gives pediatric cardiac patients the ability to live a nearly normal life outside the hospital. Meet 13-year-old Aimen, a patient of the Washington University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital Heart Center, who has lived with the device for nearly two years.
